A Deeply Personal Pilgrimage

Pilgrimage is a journey taken with intention to connect with something necessary for our spiritual wellbeing.

My trip to Britain was a pilgrimage to connect with my ancestors. Connect with their land, their myths, their gods. Place my fingers into the grooves of rocks that stood when they were alive, walk their well-worn paths, listen to the same bird song and surf song and tree song.

I went to come closer to my roots, my people, my past, but in many ways, I drew closer to myself.
